SMUStyle: Lumi Empanada & Dumpling Kitchen

Our weekends are spent meandering up and down McKinney. Eating, shopping, and socializing — may as well just call the trolley-trekking street our number one stomping ground.

The newest kid on the block? Lumi Empanada & Dumpling Kitchen. In one of two sweet bungalow houses (next to Primo’s, across from Walgreen’s), Lumi offers up Vietnamese and Brazilian fusion food that is to-die-for.

At enticing prices, I suggest stuffing up with the Ahi Tuna Nachos, Blue Crab and Cream Cheese Won Tons, and any of the empanada or dumpling options.

P.S. For those of you of legal drinking age, the cocktails here are fresh and fab. Sip Lumi’s signature Ginger and Lime Margarita.

Taste for yourself at 3407 McKinney Avenue. Note: Parking in rear. An alleyway to the parking lot can be accessed from Hall Street behind Bread Winner’s.
